Mainstream Aviation pioneering aviation standards

With construction work on Accra-Kotoka International's new Terminal 3 flagship project moving into top gear some operators at the
airport have had to change location to facilitate this major development.

The airport expansion supports the country's ambition to upgrade its vital infrastructure by modernising and transforming the airport into a gateway for West Africa
and as a regional aviation hub. It is also expected to contribute to the country's economy by facilitating market connectivity and by reducing the cost of doing business.

One of the effected companies is Mainstream Aviation. They are now well into the process of relocating to a purpose built facility which will house their
Dispatch, Permit & OCC offices as well as aircraft charter and management teams.

CEO Captain Ladi Odulaja comments, “Accra is ideally situated in West Africa to become the region's airline hub.
The airport can also expect to see a continued growth in business aviation traffic over the next 5 to 10 years as the county’s’ economy grows
and it is for this that we at Mainstream Aviation are investing and concentrating our efforts.

"With this in mind we have been looking at upgrading our staff training to an internationally recognised certificated level,
improving our customer support services & our competitiveness.

"I invited business aviation ground support specialist, Global FBO Consult, to review all aspects of our operation and as a result I believe
Mainstream Aviation is now a more efficient and customer centric operation ready to deliver our clients a world class service”

Bluesky Business Aviation News - BizAv traffic up nearly 35% at Dublin-Weston

Dave Scully, Commercial Manager at the Irish capital's executive airport, Dublin-Weston (EIWT), has reported significant extra bizav traffic during the annual Irish National Hunt Festival - held at nearby Punchestown Racecourse at the beginning of May. Year on year to the end of March 2014, traffic was up 34.7%.

The airport, just eight miles from Dublin City centre, is located at the very heart of the Irish horse breeding and racing fraternity with The Curragh, Leopardstown, Naas and Punchestown racecourses - plus the world famous Goffs Horse Sales - all close by. Several UK-based owners and trainers have elected to use the airport underlining the facility’s value as a key asset to the Irish equine industry.
